Chandigarh, February 9 — Haryana’s Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, announced that 144 villages in the state have been identified to be included in the Mahagram Yojana. This initiative aims to provide drinking water and sewage facilities to these villages, bringing urban-like amenities to rural areas.
Sh. Gangwa made this announcement during a felicitation ceremony held in Arya Nagar Village, Hisar, where he also interacted with the local community. He listened to public grievances and directed concerned officers to address them promptly.
The minister emphasized that the current government operates with a clear vision and commitment to fulfilling its promises. He highlighted the importance of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s initiative, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, which aims to provide clean drinking water to every household. In line with this, Gangwa shared that a Rs. 60 crore estimate has been submitted for a water and sewage project in Arya Nagar village, and efforts are underway to include it in the Mahagram Yojana.
Sh. Randhir Panihar, MLA of Nalwa, was also present at the event, showing his support for the initiative. This project reflects the state’s ongoing efforts to improve rural infrastructure and bring basic urban amenities to villages, enhancing the quality of life for residents.
