Chief Minister Hosts Luncheon at the 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela, Highlights Delhi’s Support for BJP Policies

Chandigarh, February 9 — Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini hosted a luncheon on behalf of the state government at the Rajhans Tourist Complex during the ongoing 38th Surajkund International Crafts Mela in Faridabad. The event was attended by a distinguished array of guests, including Union and State Ministers, MLAs, senior BJP leaders, and top officials. The Chief Minister personally interacted with the guests, engaging in conversations and inquiring about their well-being.

A key highlight of the event was a vibrant cultural programme featuring performances from international artists representing countries like Ghana, Russia, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, and India’s Madhya Pradesh and Assam. The cultural exchange added a global flair to the luncheon, further enhancing the festive atmosphere of the Mela.

In his address to the press after the luncheon, Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini remarked on the overwhelming support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has received from the people of Delhi. He stated that the citizens of Delhi have given the BJP a historic mandate, thus endorsing the policies that aim to bring development to the city. He emphasized that with this support, Delhi would now be able to reap the benefits of various welfare schemes implemented by the central government, which had previously been denied to them.

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to criticize Delhi’s former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of misleading the public on several fronts, including promises related to cleaning the Yamuna River, providing clean drinking water, and turning Delhi into a ‘Paris’ with better infrastructure. He stressed that these promises were never fulfilled, and now, the people of Delhi have recognized the reality and placed their trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development policies.

Further addressing the media, Chief Minister Saini discussed the growing disillusionment with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and how the public had grown aware of their falsehoods. He commended the citizens for shifting their trust to the welfare-focused policies of the BJP and Prime Minister Modi.

In response to questions regarding illegal overseas employment, the Chief Minister assured that the state government was identifying those involved in sending youth abroad through fraudulent means. He emphasized that strict action would be taken against such individuals. Additionally, he assured the public that the government had put in place proper systems and mechanisms to protect citizens seeking employment opportunities abroad, ensuring they were not victims of exploitation or fraud.

The luncheon was a symbolic gathering, not only celebrating the rich cultural diversity showcased at Surajkund Mela but also reiterating the Chief Minister’s political stance and the government’s commitment to citizens’ welfare through fair policies.
