New Delhi, Feb 3, 2025 – Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to chair a high-level security review meeting on Tuesday in New Delhi, focusing on the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, official sources revealed.
The meeting will be attended by J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, along with senior officials from paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies.
Key discussions are expected to revolve around security measures for the upcoming months, especially as melting snow could open infiltration routes along the Line of Control (LoC). Additionally, securing major tourist destinations ahead of the peak travel season will also be on the agenda.
Officials will brief the Home Minister on the ongoing counter-terrorism efforts and strategies to dismantle terror networks in the region. The review will also assess the overall law and order situation and steps being taken to ensure long-term stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
