Jammu, Feb 3, 2025 – Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the J&K Assembly, Sunil Sharma, has hailed the Union Budget’s allocation of ₹41,000 crore for Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a “landmark moment” for the region.
In a statement, Sharma emphasized that this significant investment will accelerate J&K’s development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The BJP government has opened new doors for inclusive development in J&K, and visible transformations are taking place on the ground,” he said.
He highlighted the budget’s focus on infrastructure, healthcare, and education, stating that these initiatives would positively impact the region’s economy and improve the lives of its people. Sharma also called on the citizens of J&K to work collectively to ensure that the benefits of these allocations reach every corner of the region.
Discussing the budget at a national level, Sharma praised the new tax regime and other provisions, stating that they will contribute to India’s progress and strengthen the nation’s economy.
