64.86% Voter Turnout till 5 Pm in First Phase of Jharkhand Assembly Polls

Ranchi:  Jharkhand registered a 64.86% voter turnout by 5 pm in the first phase of assembly elections, as reported by the Election Commission. Leading in turnout was the Lohardaga constituency with 73.21%, followed by Seraikella-Kharsawan at 72.19% and Gumla at 67.35%.

 

Capital city Ranchi recorded 60.49%, while other constituencies like Khunti and West Singhbhum saw 68.36% and 66.87%, respectively. Voting occurred in 43 out of 81 seats, with the remaining 38 seats to vote on November 20, and results to be announced on November 23.

 

Legendary cricketer MS Dhoni cast his vote in Ranchi, accompanied by his wife, Sakshi.
